Abstract

ABSTRAK

Kesiapan rumahtangga menghadapi pembangunan sangat bergantung pada pola konsumsi pangan yang dilakukan.Orientasi mengkonsumsi pangan harus bergeser dari perhatian pada komoditas menjadi perhatian pada nutrisi, agar dihasilkan sumberdaya manusia yang sehat, cerdas, aktif dan produktif sehingga memiliki daya saing untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraannya.

Penelitian bertujuan  mengetahui daya saing rumahtangga melalui identifikasi pola konsumsi pangan, meliputi konsumsi energi dan protein serta keragaman pangannya. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Kauman Kabupaten Tulungagung.Data dikumpulkan melalui metode food recall 2 x 24 jam terhadap 50 responden yang dipilih secara Simple Random Sampling dari unit analisis rumahtangga miskin.Analisis dilakukan dengan metode penilaian konsumsi pangan.  Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa tingkat konsumsi energi dan protein rumahtangga masing-masing sebesar 60,46 % AKE (Angka Kecukupan Energi) dan 57,53 % AKP (Angka Kecukupan Protein) dengan derajat keragaman konsumsi pangan sebesar 40,34. Artinya tingkat konsumsi pangan rumahtangga masih harus ditingkatkan melalui komunikasi, edukasi dan informasi agar rumahtangga sebagai kelompok sosial terkecil dalam masyarakat memiliki daya saing untuk meningkatkan produktifitasnya.

ABSTRACT

Efforts to improve the competitiveness of a region highly depend on the condition of households in the region. Readiness of households facing development highly depend on its food consumption patterns. Orientation of eating food should be shifted from attention to the commodity of concern in nutrition, so that human resources are produced healthy, intelligent, active and productive, so they have the competitiveness to improve their welfare.

The study aims to determine the competitiveness of the household through the identification of patterns of food consumption, covering energy and protein consumption and food diversity. Research conducted in the Sub-District Kauman of Tulungagung Regency. Data were collected through  food recall method 2 x 24 hours against 50 respondents which is selected by Simple Random Sampling from poor households analysis unit. Analysis were performed by the method of assessment of food consumption. The research shows that the level of energy and protein consumption of households amounted to 60.46% AKE and 57.53% AKP  with the degree of diversity of food consumption at 40.34. This means that household food consumption levels should be improved through communication, education and information so household as the smallest social group in society has the competitiveness to increase productivity.
